It seems that an AjaxPing remains actively pinging even when the page is not the front most anymore but has been moved into the page cache. Can this even be true? How could I stop the AjaxPing when leaving the page (and possibly reactivate it when returning back to the page via browser back button)? I see updates in the Eclipse console even when I navigate away to other pages.
